ROBERT P. TURNER
Robert P. Turner graduated cum laude from Suffolk University Law School in 1977 and from Boston College in 1974 with a B.A. in English. He is a member of the Massachusetts Defense Lawyers Association.
Bob is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, and the First Circuit Court of Appeals. He has successfully litigated hundreds of trials in both federal and state courts, including more than 60 full-length jury trials as sole counsel. These trials have included complex cases involving products liability resulting in quadriplegia, motor vehicle wrongful death, and medical malpractice.
Bob’s experience has included litigation involving construction accidents, products and professional liability, including architects and engineers, realtors and condo associations, premises liability and motor vehicle accidents with catastrophic injuries. Bob’s extensive experience has earned him the AV® Preeminent Rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest possible rating on both legal ability and ethics based upon the confidential opinions of trial lawyers and judges.
Bob’s significant appellate cases include Barnstable County Insurance Company v. Gale, 425 Mass. 126, Demeo v State Farm Mutual Automobile Ins. Co., 38 Mass. App. Ct. 955 and seven other appellate decisions following successful trials.
Prior to becoming Of Counsel to Tucker, Dyer & O’Connell, Bob served as an Assistant District Attorney in the District Courts and with the Major Violators Division of the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office in Boston, and subsequently worked as an associate and partner at Boston law firms.
